CAC Spring Exhibition 2018
Spring 2018 |
CAC Spring exhibition was another great success, once again I had three paintings for sale and they all sold. Charlie, Attitude, and McDreamy.
It can seem like hard work painting and preparing at least six paintings a year for the club exhibitions alone but as I say, it keeps me out of mischief. |

CAC Autumn Exhibition 2017
Autumn 2017 |
What a great exhibition, I had three paintings for sale, Fade to Grey, Napoleon, and Macavity and I’m delighted to say they all sold.
Early in 2017, I had begun experimenting on painting with a plain black background, I really liked how the subjects jumped from the canvas. I painted these three subjects, all the same size around the same time and that’s when my style started to immerge. I continue to paint a range of animals and birds based on simply what takes my fancy at the time. |

The first in a series of Work in Progress (WIP) blogs.
It’s really beneficial for me to take progress shots while painting a picture, it gives me the opportunity to see where I can make adjustments, correct mistakes, add or take away things I’m not overly fussed about
When the painting is complete I’m left with a series of photographs that I can put together in on of my WIP posts on Facebook, people love to see how a painting comes together, there are so many ugly stages that sometimes even I am surprised how well it eventually turns out.
